Wauwatosa East scored 246.5 points and finished fourth at the Early Bird Invitational at Wauwatosa West on Saturday.
"I am very excited about how we did," Tosa East coach Russ Weigel said. "This invite has some very strong teams. We scored over 120 more points than last year."
Corinne Ripple was fourth in the 50-meter freestyle (26.83) and tied for fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:06.62). Mackenzie Davies was fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.77), and Brittany Gottschalk was sixth in the 100 free (1:01.98).
The 200 medley relay of Emily Jensen, Davies, Emmie Komp and Gottschalk took fourth (2:05.49), and the 200 free relay of Ripple, Kiley Winter, Davies and Gottschalk (1:54.15) and the 400 free relay of Jensen, Komp, Chantel Jalalian and Ripple (4:11.72) each finished fifth.
"Our athletes haven't missed a beat, and we had several lifetime bests this early in the season," Weigel said. "That is very encouraging. Hannah Wallenkamp had the largest drops in times in her races."
Menomonee Falls/Hamilton won the event (404 points) followed by Badger (383.5) and Brookfield Central (308).
