It's only been a week, but we've already heard from dozens of people who entered our friendly Top This competition, in which we're looking for the couple in Wauwatosa that has been married the longest.
For example, Jean Bauer-O'Connell, the daughter of Milton and Doris Bauer of Wauwatosa, wanted to let us know that her parents tied the knot on Nov. 30, 1946, and have been happily married for 63 years.
And Susan Stoner reports that her grandparents, Spencer and Louise Stoner of Tosa, just celebrated their 72nd anniversary Friday.
If you or someone you know can top them (or come close), e-mail the names of the couple, where they live and how long they've been married to topthis@cninow.com. Or you can send the details to: Top This, c/o NOW Newspapers, 1741A Dolphin Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186.
But hurry, because the deadline for submissions is Sept. 17.
We'll go through every couple that we hear about, and the one married the longest will receive a romantic dinner for two at a great area restaurant and will be featured in an upcoming issue of the newspaper.
We'll also publish the names and wedding dates of the couples who made it in the top 10.

"Can You Top This" is a Wauwatosa version of "The Guinness Book of World Records." Every month, we're going to be looking for the biggest, the oldest, the youngest, etc. But we're going to need your help in finding the local record setters.
