Pool project nearing reality
If Wauwatosa Common Council's actions mimic those of the Plan Commission and Community Development Committee this week, the Friends group should receive a conditional-use permit to operate a pool, bathhouse and concessions at Hoyt Park.
Tosa paramedic brought life-saving aid to Haitians
Wauwatosa firefighter/paramedic Michel DeLisle had visited Haiti numerous times as part of a medical team that treated patients' illness, provided medications and taught them about public health issues.
Business district has eye on future
Many restaurants and shops are finding success in the Village, and city and Business Improvement District officials want to continue the momentum by developing a plan that sets out steps needed to clear the way for future development.
More students living elsewhere want in
A total of 1,412 students from 18 school districts applied to attend Wauwatosa School District schools for the 2010-11 academic year through the state's Open Enrollment program. That's up from 1,157 last year.
Creative collaboration
They walk briskly into the Muellner Building at Hart Park toting their sketchpads, palettes, brushes and pens. Among them are a chemist, a clerk, an engineer and a retired parole officer. And they all have one thing in mind on this Monday night: creating art for the sheer joy of it.

A 48-year-old Brookfield man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he met at a Menomonee Falls gas station.
Ronald McDonald House would double in size under plan
